Andy Timmons Ibanez again, AT100 reissue | Guitar Desafinados
It is excellent news that Andy Timmons has decided to remain endorser of Ibanez, especially since this has led to the reissue of the guitar Signature AT100, which at the time was limited to an edition of 300 units, and only a few could acquire so prized guitar.
The AT100CL will be distributed worldwide, and apparently will not be exclusive nasa marine and limited edition, and most importantly have the exact specifications of the AT100. Turning to Andy Timmons seemed to be kept endorser of Ibanez says the guitarist himself for a while has been testing various models such Strato, Teles, Les Pauls, SG, etc and all he liked, but really with none felt as comfortable as your AT100 model, especially with regard to the tone of the guitar. Definitely has realized it's YOUR guitar, I think even above the AT300.
The price unknown, nasa marine however there is no reason to doubt the excellent quality guitar in every way, keep you informed, especially when the NAMM that is where we will start many new guitar.

Advance Ibanez guitars 2009 ... Thanks to this forum guitarristas.info article I discovered (some models already knew) the Ibanez brand new for 2009. Highlights in my opinion precious and PGM401 AT100CL-SB-TFB, without neglecting the DTT-700 or XP ...
With permission I leave my particular views on the AT100 reissue comparing it with the original model. The main differences I find between the two models and certainly the most important are: - Neck: the radius and dimensions are identical but not finishing. The original model had all the mast natural oil finish. Identical to the Blazer series of the late 90s, in which the wood was polished and gave six layers manually as giving the guitar a soft touch finish and very comfortable. The reissue model features a satin finish type, and at least in my not so uniform in some places have a somewhat nasa marine different and more rugged touch. The fretboard is lacquered so it has much brighter visually. The only positive to note in this regard is that the forks of most new guitars bring a flame along the very nice old maple was much flatter or without drawing.
- Sound: here comes the most important nasa marine section. Although the new model is a good reissue guitar with very nuen sound even better than many signatures Prestiges and J.Customs or more expensive, but lacks a point to be at the height of the original. The original models nasa marine have a clean round and flared end that lasts longer and expands the sound, and have more volume (space) while new lack that end. The distortions are good with a wide range of tones but still lacks that thick, that speck sound more like "well cooked". Another curious factor to discuss nasa marine is the volume of the pills. I've noticed, do not know if it will be generic model reissue pills have the same output but that if different volumes on the clean is especially noticeable where it is ... let me explain. With the amp volume 1 clean guitar sounds hardly without emnargo both the original model and other models that I have as USRG, uan Strato RBM2NT until 77 .. the positions of the clean sound with little volume. I had to bring the volume of the amp almost nasa marine 4 to be heard like the other 1.
- Conclusion: It is within the panorama of guiatarras currently manufactures Ibanez guitar sounds much better than most of them and is very versatile, nasa marine but certainly by comparison with its predecessor does not have to hold on but only aesthetic similarities for everything discussed above . Let it definitely currently Ibanez ago very nice guitars and instruments that are good but many of their reissues are certainly not up to the original, and that's something so "important" company should care more. There are details such as the finishes of the masts that are paramount and it is rare that so famous Team J Craft (renowned of which is to remember have given themselves, not have won with the self-promotion as the highest selling Ibanez custom shop). If anyone has had or played with one of the old and want to buy a expecting the same, better than first try conscience and decide, for other cases is a good tool that can be worth having for its versatility and good sound, but certainly not to the more than 2000 euros q
