This was in effect leather. You can smell the leather skin. I enjoyed this much cover it is a precious quality to any tablet. Do not buy cheap alternatives. Buy it! The 'cover' is easily installed and allows rand simberg access to all you need to access. It protects the tablet and not hinder the use. It looks good until you compare it with a covering of i-pad, but I think you could say the tablet as well. Overall a good product.
